Crude Oil is trading at $79.50 as of 21:05PM, GMT.

U.S. crude oil futures ended higher in volatile trade on Tuesday, helped by a late surge in gasoline futures ahead of weekly inventory reports. Crude gained for the first time in four sessions, but failed to push above the psychological $80, after hitting $82, the highest in a year, last week. The Conference Board’s U.S. consumer confidence index fell in October to 47.7 from an upwardly revised 53.4 in September, the private business research group reported. Crude Oil is trading at $79.50 as of 21:05PM, GMT.
